Cadillac CTS and SRX sales up 22%+ in Sept 2011

Cadillac CTS and SRX sales continue to shine, at over 4500 of each sold in September.  CTS sales were up 24% and SRX sales were up 22% compared to 2010.  The last of the DTS model are clearing the lot, hopefully reaching homes of the people who love that model.  Cadillac continues to make strong numbers while avoiding lower margin fleet sales.

Total Cadillac sales for the month were flat with last year, but strengthened sales of key models bodes well for Cadillac when the DTS-replacing XTS arrives this summer, and the volume-leading ATS arrives in the Fall.

Cadillac August 2011 CTS Sales up 39%

Good news — Cadillac sales overall were flat August 2011 compared to August 2010.   Why is that good news?  With the DTS discontinued, flat sales means that CTS and SRX sales have stepped up to hold the line until the XTS, ATS, and ELR arrive.

CTS sales blossomed at 5.8K for the month, a 39% month vs month, or 34% increase when the number of sales days are factored in.  SRX sales continued to show strength at 4.6K for the month.

CTS, SRX continued to lead Cadillac Sales in July 2011

Cadillac Sales:

A 25% bottom line sales decrease might suggest a disappointing July year over year for Cadillac, but continuing good sales for CTS and SRX are reassuring.   July 2010 was a ‘banner’ month with over 5.5K of each model sold, so while it would be great to repeat at those levels, this month’s sales of over 4K for each model are nothing to sneeze at.  It would be interesting to compare incentives in July 2010 vs July 2011 but those figures are not given here.

DTS continues to fade as the last models are sold.  Escalade sales continue to reflect higher fuel prices.
