Convertible Cadillacs – Street Side Classics

Today I went by Street Side Classics in Fort Worth to see the wide variety of Cadillacs they have on hand — convertibles from the 60s, 70s, 90s, and 00s.

They have main showroom, then a nice warehouse full of interesting cars.  This 2009 XLR Platinum was the first Cadillac we ran across there.

There was an Allante there, I believe an 87 with removable hard top in place:

Next was a set of 68s with a 64 near by:

We had a great time looking at all the Cadillacs, and other cars.  The shopping trip helped me along in my thinking about what type of Cadillac convertible I want for my weekend car.

In May the Cadillac SRX again led sales, at 5,777 examples headed to happy homes.

Escalade sales may be production limited at this point, just holding even with last year, and still up 76-102% year to date, depending on model.

ELR sales were up 123% over last year, at 116 sold.   CTS, ATS, and XTS were all down as coupes/sedans continue to lag.

Escalade, SRX continue to Shine for April Sales

Cadillac had an interesting April.  SRX SRX SRX was the order of the day, as sales of the Crossover were close to 1/2 of Cadillac sales for the month, at over 6K sold, up 40%.  Escalade continues a strong year, up over 100% for the month and for the year to date.  Overall Cadillac sales are now about even with last year.

A change for April was XTS sales were up over last month, showing some sedan strength.  The ATS and CTS continued with muted sales.  BMW meanwhile was up 9% at a new max of 26K vehicles for April, and has sold 105K vehicles in the US YTD (BMW Brand) vs half that for Cadillac.  Mercedes sold 32K vehicles in April, and is at 118K for the year.
