2007 Cadillac XLR Roadster

I test drove a blue 2007 Cadillac XLR this morning, and reached agreement to buy it pending funds transfer.

It had two visual flaws, but overall very handsome condition with ~45k miles.  I liked that it was local, and I could see it easily in person, and I liked its story so far — lightly used by a family with multiple vehicles.

No mods, and I am likely to keep it stock.   With a 320 hp rwd V8 and around 3600 lb performance is sufficient.

Purchased from an individual and I need to wait for USAA to send an official check to pay for it before I get the car & title.

  1. Congratulations! Really looking forward to your thoughts on the “new” car. (I’ve been casually looking for a low-mileage, late 2009 red XLR-V.) I’m very interested to hear about how the roof mechanism and gaskets hold up, and any mechanical problems you encounter. From what I’ve read, it’s already difficult to find some parts for the XLR, but they’re sure a unique and rare car.
