Cadillac Steering Column Smoke
Help - there is smoke coming
out of my Steering Column!?
Question: I was driving my new used 90 Cadillac Deville yesterday when smoke started coming out of the steering wheel inside the car, it stunk, but the headlights still work and the brake lights.
Response: It was most likely just some extra grease
burning/melting on the slip ring. Kind of common on GM. I would not
worry about it.
