{"id":804,"date":"2008-10-12T17:45:06","date_gmt":"2008-10-12T22:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/?p=804"},"modified":"2008-10-12T17:45:06","modified_gmt":"2008-10-12T22:45:06","slug":"blogging-about-blog-about","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/blogging-about-blog-about\/","title":{"rendered":"Blogging about Blog About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the recent Canadian Thanksgiving, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnchow.com\/613248-to-help-feed-the-hungry-this-thankgiving\/\" target=\"_blank\">John Chow<\/a> challenged readers for his blog to donate money to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugm.ca\/ways_to_give\/online\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vancouver Union Gospel Mission<\/a> to help feed the hungry.\u00a0\u00a0 John offered to match any donations.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I was happy to be able to donate 10 meals and have John match them.\u00a0 The total donation with all intake and John&#8217;s match raised over $6K for the Union Gospel Mission, so yay.<\/p>\n<p>John Chow&#8217;s blog is a very popular blog on how to be an internet entrepreneur.\u00a0\u00a0 Besides matching the donations, John also offered to link to all of the donors in the blog.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I have been clicking through these and have found a variety of useful and interesting reading.\u00a0 My initial thought was just to click through them all and note that I had done so.\u00a0 But what I found by and large is that this self-selected subset of blogs has a lot of treasure inside, and has taken a bit of time to read, study, and save off as bookmarks for later review.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s find &#8212; a quick thank you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativepride.net\/2008\/10\/look-at-me.html\" target=\"_blank\">Creative Pride News<\/a> for the link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steven-sanders.com\/writing-the-greatest-about-me-page-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\">Writing the Greatest About Me Page Ever <\/a>on Steven-Sanders.com.\u00a0 After reading this I revised the About page here.
