{"id":4568,"date":"2010-01-10T07:05:02","date_gmt":"2010-01-10T13:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/?p=4568"},"modified":"2010-01-10T05:49:50","modified_gmt":"2010-01-10T11:49:50","slug":"2010-cadillac-sts-more-hp-more-space-than-a-cts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/2010-cadillac-sts-more-hp-more-space-than-a-cts\/","title":{"rendered":"2010 Cadillac STS &#8212; More HP, More Space than a CTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cadillac STS is perhaps in its final years in 2010 and 2011, pending the release in 2012 of the new Cadillac XTS large car that will replace the STS and the DTS.\u00a0\u00a0 As sometimes seems the case, the current Cadillac STS has evolved into a very interesting, if mostly overlooked sedan.\u00a0 It does not sell nearly as well as the CTS &#8212; and it costs a step function more than the CTS is not small reason &#8212; but also offers a higher level of standard features and options than the CTS offers.\u00a0 The STS starts at $46,845; the CTS at $35,165.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/BRUCEN%7E1\/AppData\/Local\/Temp\/moz-screenshot-7.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4570\" style=\"width: 455px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4570\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4570\" title=\"image1.img.w_445\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/image1.img_.w_445.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"445\" height=\"333\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4570\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image 1: 2010 Cadillac STS<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>New for 2010:<\/strong> Two exterior colors: Vanilla Latte and Tuscan Bronze ChromaFlair<\/p>\n<p>Originally I felt the STS did not sell as well as the CTS due to the more muted appearance of the STS design.\u00a0 Updated in 2005, the new Rear-wheel drive STS is on the same Sigma platform as the 1st Generation CTS was.\u00a0 It is also made at the excellent Lansing Grand River Factory alongside the CTS.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4576\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4576\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4576\" title=\"Image 2: 2005 Cadillac STS\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/X05CA_ST049-500x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/X05CA_ST049-500x375.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/X05CA_ST049-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4576\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image 2: 2005 Cadillac STS c GM<\/p><\/div>\n<p>If you compare the 2005 STS (image 2) with the 2010 STS (image 1) you can see that Cadillac has improved the front-end grill and spoiler treatment nicely over the years.\u00a0 The STS still has what I think is a crucial flaw &#8212; a very plain hood line &#8212; as flat as sales for the STS have been.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4583\" title=\"cadillac_2010_sts-trans\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/cadillac_2010_sts-trans-500x110.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"110\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/cadillac_2010_sts-trans-500x110.png 500w, http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/cadillac_2010_sts-trans.png 948w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What features can you get on the STS that you can&#8217;t get on the CTS?\u00a0 (What do you get for the more money?
