{"id":11906,"date":"2012-03-20T06:16:19","date_gmt":"2012-03-20T11:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/?p=11906"},"modified":"2012-03-20T06:16:19","modified_gmt":"2012-03-20T11:16:19","slug":"exhausting-cadillac-sts-v-options-corsa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/exhausting-cadillac-sts-v-options-corsa\/","title":{"rendered":"Exhausting Cadillac STS-V options &#8211; Corsa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After reading and re-reading everyone&#8217;s experience and advice on exhaust options, and resulting sound files,\u00a0 I decided to go with the Corsa 14157 axle-back system for my 2008 Cadillac STS-V.<\/p>\n<p>Just ordered the part today, so not installed yet on the V.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11908\" title=\"14157a\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157a.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157a-500x212.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had a Corsa cat-back system for my 2005 Cadillac CTS and enjoyed the system &amp; sound, and I think it makes a nice match for the STS-V.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11909\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11909\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11909\" title=\"14157c\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"991\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157c.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/14157c-459x650.jpg 459w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11909\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Corsa stock photo of exhaust on a 05-07 STS<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I was sorely tempted to follow <a title=\"Project Cadillac Exhaust\" href=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/?p=11720\">my plan as stated<\/a>, to replace the individual components with the Magnaflow exhaust &amp; cross-flow muffler for the resonator, but the cost with shop support for dyno, adjustments, and testing as a project was similar to getting the Corsa axle-back system.\u00a0 I will still need to establish a clean before\/after test regimen for the exhaust install.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/STS2005Flow.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11907\" title=\"STS2005Flow\" src=\"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/STS2005Flow.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"310\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Corsa offers this flow-bench testing to show that the 14157 system out-performs the factory exhaust.<\/p>\n<p>The Corsa 14157 is not advertised to fit the 08 Cadillac STS-V, but rather the 05-07 STS.\u00a0 There were changes made by Cadillac in 08 for exhaust hanger location, so the system will need some adjustments at the muffler shop during installation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After reading and re-reading everyone&#8217;s experience and advice on exhaust options, and resulting sound files,\u00a0 I decided to go with the Corsa 14157 axle-back system for my 2008 Cadillac STS-V.
