{"id":1090,"date":"2009-03-28T07:04:53","date_gmt":"2009-03-28T12:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/?p=1090"},"modified":"2009-03-28T11:29:59","modified_gmt":"2009-03-28T16:29:59","slug":"cts-suspension-upgrade-components-on-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.caddyinfo.com\/wordpress\/cts-suspension-upgrade-components-on-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"CTS Suspension upgrade components"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Initially for upgrading the suspension in my 2005 Cadillac CTS I wanted to go with the suspension from the CTS-V.\u00a0 This stikes me as a setup that is already tested and validated by Cadillac on the chassis, and is an all-Cadillac solution.\u00a0 After studying the various solutions available from Hotchkis and Eibach, I was leaning toward one of those, and looking at prices and shipping cost (suspension parts tend to be heavy).<\/p>\n<p>Luckily I was able to win an <a href=\"http:\/\/cgi.ebay.com\/ebaymotors\/ws\/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&amp;item=110367046029\" target=\"_blank\">Ebay auction<\/a> for a few useful items &#8212; Hmm; not so fast.\u00a0 Apparently the seller is claiming that the auction was only for &#8216;free shipping&#8217;, not for the components themselves!!?\u00a0 So, this may turn out to be a &#8216;dry hole&#8217; after all.\u00a0\u00a0 If this does not work out, I&#8217;m back to deciding whether to go with a new Eibach or Hotchkis kit designed for the base CTS or to look for another CTS-V take-off set.\u00a0 The Eibach kit from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoanything.com\/suspension-systems\/eibach-springs-anti-roll-kit.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">AutoAnything<\/a> with Free Shipping looks like a nice choice.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>UPDATE 2<\/strong><\/span> &#8212;
